Define the metal system first
State whether the project is for karat gold, 24K fine gold, silver or a site that will handle several processes. Include common karats and the process chemistry available in the destination market. Chemistry influences tank materials, circulation, filtration, heating or cooling and fume-control requirements.
Process chemicals must be sourced, stored and used under supplier instructions and local regulations. Identifying availability early prevents an equipment layout from being designed around a process that cannot be operated locally.
Describe the workpieces
Share the main jewelry formats, approximate dimensions and the number of pieces carried by one rack or basket. Photos or drawings help when products have deep recesses, delicate surfaces or unusual loading requirements.
Workpiece geometry affects electrical contact, anode arrangement, current distribution and solution movement. These details often matter more than the outside dimensions of the tank alone.
Use a realistic capacity target
Provide an expected batch size or daily output and the normal process time. Include loading, unloading, rinsing, inspection and solution checks rather than counting only the electroforming stage.
If production will expand, separate the initial requirement from the future target. This allows the line to reserve utilities and floor space without oversizing every machine from the first day.
List the supporting stages
